Attendees can now experience live music, lectures, panel discussions, and artistic exhibitions.
The festival has become a highly anticipated event drawing thousands of attendees and generating millions of dollars for the city annually. Essence Festival of Culture bills itself as “the party with a purpose.” By employing performers with massive reach, the festival has built a platform to celebrate African American excellence while also giving back to the community.
